Some 33 years after his last
appearance in a Hammer horror, it has been revealled via Hammer's official
Twitter feed (everyone's on
Twitter these days...) that Christopher Lee has started filming in New Mexico
for the revitalised company. The 87 year old actor started filming on June 9th
and is understood to be playing a sinister old man...
Incidentally, it now appears that
The Resident has now reverted to its original title following a brief
period as 'Invasion of Privacy'. Hammer's remake of Let the Right One In
is now going under the title of Let Me In too... (keep up at the back!).
Of course, name changes are a frequent occurrence in the film business...
In the same week that Lee returned
to the company that launched his international career it was also announced that
he was to be made a Knight of the Realm in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
The announcement came in the early hours of Saturday 13th, and we'd like to send
our congratulations too. Lee adds the knighthood (which allows him to be called
'Sir' Christopher) to a C.B.E. given in 2001. |
