The
long-awaited 2nd edition of the authorised history of
Hammer Films, is to be released by Titan books later
this year.
Originally
written by Marcus Hearn and Alan Barnes after the
folding of Hammer Horror magazine in the mid 1990s, and
published in 1997, the book has been revisited for the
50th anniversary of Hammer horror. The layout, text and
imagery has all been revised and the book contains a
significant amount of new material, and comes in at 192
pages.
The
hard-cover book once again sports an iconic image of
Christopher Lee as Dracula, alongside the familiar
Hammer "H" logo. Lee himself provides the foreword to
the book.
Priced at
£24.99, the coffee-table book is bound to be one of this
years essential Hammer buys, and is published by Titan
on 25 September 2007.
